What Exactly is Educating for Life?

Educating for Life is a non-profit organization active on campus that raises funds to provide scholarships for children in Guatemala, their main mission is education.

Educating for Life partners with Manos de Amor (Hands of Love). Manos de Amor is a non-governmental organization that provides some rural communities from Alta Verapaz, Guatemala, with a program for children that includes not only education, but a fortified nutrition, empowerment, and health care.

Each month, the kids go through a wellness check up test that includes the measurement of their height, weight, among others, that prove that all of them are doing well and that there is nothing that might stop them from doing well in their classes.

When it comes to education, the kids receive natural science and moral values class that contribute to their extra curricular growth. They are also provided with schools supplies and uniforms, or anything needed for them to don't have an excuse to not go to school.

Educating for Life throughout the whole school years has constant fundraising events that will help raise funds that once the school year is finished, will be taken to Alta Verapaz to help Manos de Amor.
